Overview

Swift Scripts: Your Health, Simplified.

At Swift Scripts, our mission is to redefine the pharmacy experience by prioritizing efficiency, transparency, and customer convenience. We are dedicated to streamlining prescription processes, ensuring reliable refills, and providing clear pricing and insurance information. Through intuitive digital tools, thoughtfully designed kiosks, and extended operating hours, we empower our customers to manage their health effortlessly. By putting people first, we aim to transform pharmacies into stress-free, trusted partners in healthcare.

The Problem

Pharmacies often face user experience challenges, including inefficient prescription processes with long wait times and unreliable refill systems. A lack of transparency adds to the frustration, with unclear pricing, insurance coverage, and medication availability. Additionally, many pharmacy apps and websites are poorly designed, making prescription management difficult, while confusing in-store layouts and inconvenient hours for some make it hard to pick up their necessary prescriptions. These issues collectively create a less efficient and more stressful experience for customers.

Key Drivers

As the demand for healthcare and prescriptions continues to grow in our increasingly digital world, I wanted to leverage technology to enhance the overall experience. I centered my designs around delivering excellence in the following key areas.

Long Wait Times

Pharmacies often struggle to notify customers when their prescriptions are ready, resulting in delays in accessing essential medications. Long wait times in lines further add to the frustration. With this app, customers will receive instant notifications when their order is ready. They can then pick it up quickly and conveniently at a 24-hour kiosk, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Lack of Transparency

A lack of transparency, including unclear pricing, insurance coverage, and medication availability, often adds to customer frustration. This app addresses these issues by clearly displaying the price and insurance coverage status upfront, ensuring customers have all the necessary information before picking up their prescriptions, eliminating confusion and surprises.

User Personas

  • Joseph Goode

    RETIRED EXECUTIVE, 67 YEARS OLD

Joseph relies on regular medication for himself and manages his wife’s monthly prescriptions as well. With frequent trips to the pharmacy, the process can often feel tedious and time-consuming. He’s seeking a faster, more efficient solution to streamline his visits and make his pharmacy experience hassle-free. As someone comfortable with technology, Joseph appreciates the convenience of being able to order refills and manage everything with just a tap on his phone.

  • Emmett Marsh

    WELDER, 28 YEARS OLD

Emmett works long hours, often overnight, which means he sleeps during the day. This schedule makes it challenging for him to pick up his monthly prescription before the pharmacy closes. On top of that, his insurance doesn’t cover many of his medications, leaving him unable to afford them at times. This results in unnecessary trips to the pharmacy, adding to the difficulty of an already demanding routine.

  • Breanna Smith

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, 31 YEARS OLD

Breanna has type 1 diabetes and frequently visits the pharmacy to pick up her insulin. However, the pharmacy rarely notifies her when her prescription is ready, forcing her to guess and make unnecessary trips. She often waits in long lines, only to find out her medication isn’t ready, adding to her frustration. To make matters worse, the price of her insulin fluctuates unpredictably, leaving her surprised and unprepared when she reaches the counter.
